We Will Not Fear
A prayer for doubt, from Psalm 46:2
This psalm imagines the worst case out loud, mountains in the sea, the earth giving way, and refuses to run from it. A prayer for when the foundations of what you believed are shaking and you need somewhere to stand while they do.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea. Psalm 46:2 (NIV)
The prayer
God, even if my world is falling apart, I will not fear. You are my refuge and strength. An ever-present help.
Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
