Stop Doubting and Believe

A prayer for doubt, from John 20:27

Thomas said out loud what the others were thinking, and Jesus didn't shame him for it. He offered his hands. A prayer for the doubter who wants to be met, not lectured, and who suspects the invitation is still open.

Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe." John 20:27 (NIV)

The prayer

Jesus, You did not reject Thomas for his doubts—You met him in them. Meet me in my doubts today. Help me see Your hands, reach out, and believe.

Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
