Confidence in Him
A prayer for doubt, from Jeremiah 17:5-8
Jeremiah describes a tree planted by water: it doesn't stop the drought, it just survives it, because the roots reach something deeper than the weather. A prayer for staying planted through a dry stretch of faith, when confidence comes and goes by the day.
But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. Jeremiah 17:5-8 (NIV)
The prayer
God, my confidence wavers, but I choose to place it in You. Help me be like a tree by the water—steady, fruitful, unafraid. Even in my doubt, I plant my roots in Your truth.
