Confidence in God's Presence
A prayer for doubt, from Hebrews 13:1-6
Some doubt isn't about doctrine. It's the quiet suspicion that God simply isn't there anymore, at least not for you. This prayer leans its whole weight on one repeated promise: never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?" Hebrews 13:1-6 (NIV)
The prayer
Lord, my doubts make me wonder if You are truly present. But Your Word declares You will never leave or forsake me. Help me say with confidence: The Lord is my helper.
Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
