Built on the Rock

A prayer for doubt, from Matthew 7:25-29

When the questions come in like weather, you find out fast what your faith was actually standing on. This is a prayer for the storm itself, asking that what's true underneath holds while everything borrowed washes out.

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. Matthew 7:25-29 (NIV)

The prayer

Jesus, I want to build my life on Your words, not on shifting sand. Even when doubt batters me like a storm, help my foundation stand firm on You.

Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
