The Lord Be With You
A prayer for loneliness, from 2 Thessalonians 3:16
You may have heard these words at the end of a service, back when you still went. The blessing was never the building's to keep. It asks God for peace that covers every moment and every kind of alone, including the quiet Sundays and the evenings when nobody calls.
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (NIV)
The prayer
Lord, in my loneliness, I claim Your promise to be with me. Give me peace at all times and in every way. Even when I feel utterly alone, You are here.
