He Will Make Paths Straight
A prayer for doubt, from Proverbs 3:1-6
Lean not on your own understanding is a hard verse for someone whose understanding is exactly what's in pieces. But that may be the point: trust doesn't wait for the explanation. A prayer for walking forward before the answers arrive.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:1-6 (NIV)
The prayer
God, I cannot understand what You're doing, but I choose to trust You with all my heart. Even in my doubt, I submit to You. Make my paths straight.
Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
