Trust With All Your Heart
A prayer for betrayal, from Proverbs 3:1-6
Maybe this verse was quoted at you to hush your questions, which is not what it is for. It is an invitation to bring your whole heart, doubts included, to a God who can be trusted with the road ahead. Pray it slowly, on your own terms, with no one looking over your shoulder.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:1-6 (NIV)
The prayer
Lord, after my trust has been broken by people, I choose to trust in You with all my heart. I will not lean on my own understanding. Direct my paths.
Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
