Under His Wings
A prayer for betrayal, from Psalm 91:4
You may have been told the church was your covering, right up until it became the thing you needed covering from. This psalm offers a gentler picture of protection, close and personal, backed by a faithfulness that has never once been broken. Rest under it for a minute.
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. Psalm 91:4 (NIV)
The prayer
Lord, You cover me with Your feathers. Under Your wings I find refuge from those who have betrayed me. Your faithfulness is my shield.
Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
