Never Be Put to Shame

When you were humiliated in front of people

A prayer from Psalm 31:1

When you finally spoke up or walked out, they may have turned the story against you. Shame has a way of landing on the person who did nothing wrong, and this short psalm refuses that. It asks God to be the safe place and, in His own time, to set the record straight.

In you, Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness. Psalm 31:1 (NIV)

The prayer

Lord, I have taken refuge in You. Let me never be put to shame after what was done to me. Deliver me in Your righteousness.

Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
