God Is My Salvation
A prayer for betrayal, from Isaiah 12:2-4
Churches and pastors can quietly take the place that belongs to God, and it hurts most when they fall from it. Isaiah's words here put salvation back where it never should have left. This is a prayer for choosing to trust again, starting with the only One who can actually carry that weight.
Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. Isaiah 12:2-4 (NIV)
The prayer
God, You are my salvation when human saviors have failed me. I will trust and not be afraid. You are my strength and my defense. When trust in people has been broken, I anchor my trust in You.
Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
