Every Tear Wiped Away
A prayer for grief, from Revelation 21:4
He will wipe every tear from their eyes: notice who does the wiping. Not time, not distraction, not getting over it. Him, personally, tear by tear. A prayer for grieving toward that day instead of just through this one.
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. Revelation 21:4 (NIV)
The prayer
God, wipe every tear from my eyes. A day is coming with no more death, mourning, crying, or pain. The old order of things will pass away. Let this promise sustain me.
