When My Heart is Faint

When your heart is giving out

A prayer from Psalm 61:2

From the end of the earth I call to you as my heart grows faint: prayed from the far edge of what a person can manage. If anxiety has you at that edge, the request is simple: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. A prayer for outside help, honestly asked.

From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:2 (NIV)

The prayer

Father, my heart grows faint with anxiety. I call to You from the end of myself. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
