Strengthened in My Inner Being
A prayer for fear & anxiety, from Ephesians 3:14-21
Anxiety weakens you from the inside first, in the place nobody sees. That's exactly where this prayer asks God to work: strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being. A prayer for reinforcement right where the fear operates.
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. Ephesians 3:14-21 (NIV)
The prayer
Lord, strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being. When anxiety weakens me, fill me with Your fullness. You are able to do immeasurably more than I can ask or imagine.
Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
