My Peace I Give You
A prayer for fear & anxiety, from John 14:26-27
Jesus made peace a bequest: my peace I give you, and then he distinguished it from the world's version, the fragile kind that depends on circumstances. His holds when they don't. A prayer for receiving the peace that was left specifically to you.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:26-27 (NIV)
The prayer
Jesus, You leave me Your peace—not the fragile peace the world offers, but Your own peace. I will not let my heart be troubled. I will not be afraid. Your Spirit reminds me of everything You have taught.
Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
