I Fear No Evil

When you fear no evil and still feel it

A prayer from Psalm 23:4

The darkest valley is on the route; the psalm never pretends otherwise. I will fear no evil, for you are with me: the comfort is company, not a detour. A prayer for walking today's stretch of valley without walking it alone.

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 (NIV)

The prayer

Father, even in the darkest valley, I will fear no evil because You are with me. You guide me along right paths. Your rod and staff comfort me.

Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
