Chosen Before Creation

When you feel like an afterthought

A prayer from Ephesians 1:3-14

One of fear's quieter lies is that you've slipped through the cracks, forgotten by everyone including God. This passage reaches back before creation to answer it: chosen, adopted, sealed. A prayer for remembering how deliberately you are held.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:3-14 (NIV)

The prayer

Father, You chose me in Christ before the creation of the world. You have blessed me with every spiritual blessing. When fear tells me I am forgotten, remind me that I am adopted, sealed, and secure in Your love.

Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
