Perplexed is allowed. Despair is not required.
We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. Therefore we do not lose heart. Lord, I am perplexed by so many things, but I will not surrender to despair. My doubts are real, but so is Your promise of renewal. Help me fix my eyes on the eternal, invisible realities while I navigate these momentary troubles.
