Be strong and courageous can sound like a demand for feelings you don't have. Read closer: the courage is commanded because of the company, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. A prayer for weary hearts that have to keep walking anyway.

The prayer
Lord, You command me to be strong and courageous even in my grief. I will not be afraid or discouraged, for You are with me wherever I go. Strengthen my weary heart.
