Light in Darkness
A prayer for grief, from Psalm 112:4
Even in darkness light dawns: this verse doesn't deny the darkness or ask you to call it something nicer. It just insists the darkness doesn't get the last move. A prayer for a steadfast heart while you wait for the light to arrive.
Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous. Psalm 112:4 (NIV)
The prayer
Lord, even in the darkness of my grief, light dawns. You give light to the upright. I will have no fear of bad news; my heart is steadfast, trusting in You.
Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
