Through the Waters

A prayer for fear & anxiety, from Isaiah 43:1-3a

The promise is not that you'll be spared the deep water. It's that when you pass through it, the water will not sweep you over, because the one who called you by name is in it with you. A prayer for mid-crossing, when the current is strong.

But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you: "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you." Isaiah 43:1-3a (NIV)

The prayer

Lord, You tell me not to fear because You have redeemed me. When I pass through the waters of anxiety, You are with me. The rivers will not sweep over me. I am Yours.
