Steps Made Firm
A prayer for fear & anxiety, from Psalm 37:23-25
Anxiety makes the next step feel like the one where everything goes wrong. This psalm watches God do something small and constant: making steps firm, upholding mid-stumble. A prayer for walking today one held step at a time.
The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand. Psalm 37:23-25 (NIV)
The prayer
Lord, make my steps firm. Though I may stumble with fear, I will not fall, for You uphold me with Your hand. I delight in You.
Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
