Into your hands I commit my spirit is the prayer Jesus chose for the worst moment in history, borrowed from this psalm. It works for 2am worry too. A prayer for placing what you can't control into hands that don't drop things.

Into your hands I commit my spirit; deliver me, Lord, my faithful God. Psalm 31:5 (NIV)

The prayer

Lord, into Your hands I commit my spirit. You are my faithful God. Deliver me from the trap that is set for me, for You are my refuge.

Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
