Tens of thousands on every side is the psalmist's math, and he still lies down and sleeps. Not because the numbers improved, but because of who his shield is. A prayer for outnumbered days.

I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side. Psalm 3:6 (NIV)

The prayer

Lord, I will not fear though troubles assail me on every side. You are my shield. You sustain me. I call out to You and You answer.
