Delivered From Death
A prayer for fear & anxiety, from Psalm 116:8
This psalm is a look backward at survival: delivered from death, eyes dried, feet caught before the fall. Sometimes the strongest medicine for present fear is listing what God has already brought you through. A prayer of remembering on purpose.
For you, Lord, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. Psalm 116:8 (NIV)
The prayer
Father, You have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. The Lord is gracious and righteous. I called on Your name, and You saved me.
Make it yours: change any words that don’t fit, or stop at the one line that’s true today. Amen can wait until you mean it.
